Mike Catapano
Mike Catapano uses a MP built 4.6L 4 valve engine to compete in NMRA's Renegade class. Since installing the MP engine, Mike has run 8.8's with 16# of boost. Mike is experiencing issues to keep the belt on and the boost up. Once these issues are resolved, Mike should be a player in the class.
Thanks Mike for relying on Modular Performance Power.

Silver Dollar Raceway, Ga
3 weeks in the snow between races doesn’t help us Northerners out at all. We rolled into Ga with the same setup we ran in Florida. In the first round of qualifying, Mike went 10.938 @ 129.10. In that pass the front came up and bounced a bit when it came down. That was good for middle of the pack. In the second round, Mike turned it up and went 10.379 @ 129.52.
This was good for #2 and the quickest ever for a Modular in Pure Street. On race day, Mike was still fighting the, “everything that can go wrong does” syndrome. Mike was in front of his competitor and when he shifted into 3rd, it disintegrated. That’s racing. Enjoy the video!

NMRA Bowling Green 2009 Pure Street
After a season of frustration, Shawn finally got the Cobra to make some clean passes. Shawn qualified #2 and lost in the semis to the event winner. A 9 car ladder has the #1 & #2 qualifiers compete as #3 has a bye to the finals. Shawn now has something to work on for the 2020 season. Enjoy the video.
